All steaks are aged for at least 35 days, and the signature dish, the Tomahawk, is a 35-day-aged, 35-ounce prime steak “carved for two or just for you.” The menu includes a bevy of openers such as charcuterie, crab cake, and foie gras with a duck confit cigar. Further along in the meal you might opt for salmon, chicken, or lamb. Steaks, of course, reign supreme, and you can add lobster or foie gras to any order. Drinks here are exquisite, and include flavor-infused martinis and a stellar wine list (dubbed “Wines that Rock”). Menu items range from such whimsical choices as Yesterday’s Soup, house potato chips with onion dip, and the Cheap House Salad, to culinary wonders including black mussels with spicy sausage and sweet potato cannelloni. During brunch on weekends, consider the Cap’n Crunch Crusted French Toast, biscuits and gravy, or house-smoked salmon with truffled creme fraiche. $$ | ECLECTIC | The hippest casino coffee shop in Las Vegas is still inside the Hard Rock Hotel, overlooking the main gaming area. Light-wood floors and vintage rock-and-roll posters highlight this bubbly, circular café. You can have artichoke hummus, Disco Fries (with gravy, cheese, and bacon) or the White Stripe flatbread. More substantial items include the Hot For Turkey! plate, grilled salmon, and spaghetti and meatballs. Or you could go for The King—14 banana pancakes, 14 strips of bacon, a peanut butter glaze, and maple syrup. Lucky Shots and Spiked Milk Shakes add to the fun. Nobu.

$$$$ | JAPANESE | Executive Chef Nobu Matsuhisa replicated the decor and menu of his Manhattan Nobu in this slick restaurant with bamboo pillars, a seaweed wall, and birch trees. Dishes might include spicy Kumamoto oyster with Nobu sauce, monkfish pâté with caviar, rock shrimp tempura, and Maine lobster with wasabi-pepper sauce. The menu comprises small or moderate-size plates, making Nobu perfect for sharing but an easy place to drop a wad of cash (as all those artful food presentations add up).
